Isolate the Electrical Supply

To prevent electrocution, always isolate the fuse before working. If you’re unsure, STOP and hire a professional electrician to install your outdoor wall light.

Step 1

PREPARATION OF THE MAINS WALL LIGHT

Unscrew the Light Bracket

Unscrew the two silver bolts connecting the light to the black bracket and carefully separate them. Take the white junction box out of the black bracket.

Step 2

Pierce the Seal

Use your screwdriver tip to pierce the seal in the center of the black wall bracket, creating an opening for the wire to pass through.

Step 3

Install the Light Bracket onto Your Wall

Mark the hole positions for the light on your wall with a pencil or pen. Using a 6mm masonry drill bit, drill the holes, then insert wall plugs.

Align the black bracket over the holes with the wire junction prongs at the top. Secure the bracket with the provided screws using a Phillips screwdriver.

Step 4

WIRING INSTALLATION

Install the Wiring to the Light

Connect the wiring from the light up to the wiring of your homes supply. Make sure the wire colours match up on each end of the wire junction.

The wires in the light are: Blue, this is the neutral wire. Your neutral wire may be black. Brown, this is the live wire. Your live wire may be red. Yellow & Green, this is the earth wire.

Step 5

INSTALLATION OF THE MAINS WALL LIGHT

The image shows an instructional graphic demonstrating the process of drilling a hole into a wall. A power drill, labeled "ELECTRIC DRILL USING 3MM BIT," is shown drilling a "WALL HOLE" through a bracket positioned against a dark surface labeled "BRICK WALL." The drill bit is aligned with the marked hole on the wall. The image provides clear visual guidance on how to create a hole for mounting something, such as a solar light bracket, onto the wall.

Drill the Holes Out in Your Wall

Use an electric drill with a 3mm masonry bit to drill out the two holes in your wall. Then insert the wall plugs in each hole.

Step 4/7

The image shows an instructional graphic demonstrating the process of inserting and securing a wall plug. A screwdriver is shown driving a screw into a "HOLE WITH WALL PLUG" through a bracket attached to a dark surface labeled "BRICK WALL." The image is part of a step-by-step guide, indicating how to secure the bracket by inserting the screw into the wall plug, which has been placed in the drilled hole. The elements are clearly labeled to guide the user through the process.

Screw the Wall Bracket into Place

Use a Phillips screwdriver to screw the screws into the wall plugs. Tighten until the bracket is secure on the wall.

Step 5/7

The image shows an instructional graphic for the final step in mounting a solar light bracket onto a brick wall. The solar light unit is being aligned with the bracket that has been secured to the wall. Arrows indicate the direction for sliding or attaching the solar light onto the bracket. The bracket is fixed in place with a screw and wall plug, as indicated by the previous steps. The image clearly illustrates how to attach the solar light to the bracket for secure installation on the wall.

Slot the Solar Light onto the Bracket

Slide the solar light onto the wall bracket. The wall bracket will fit inside the bracket on the solar light.

Step 6/7

Attach the Light to the Bracket

Use the last remaining screw in your brown fixing envelope to attach the solar light to the wall bracket by threading it through the hole on the solar light bracket. Use the nut to attach to the end of the screw that pokes out on the opposite side of the screw-head. And you're done!
