We've been in the sign business long enough to get an idea of some questions our customers would like answered. That's why we've put together this frequently asked questions page, to answer your questions as and when you need to. Didn't find an answer to your question? Don't worry! Once you place your order, your sign will be made within 5 working days. We aim to post your sign(s) as soon as possible. There are a few exceptions:

• Orders placed on Saturday will be dispatched on Monday.

• We are closed on Sunday's and Bank Holiday's - orders will be made the following day, and sent the day after production.

• We are closed for 1 week over the Christmas period, typically opening on the first working day of the new year.


Yes we do. After filling in your shipping details at checkout, you'll be presented with the available postage services to your location.


Absolutely. Additional care and precautions have been taken throughout the manufacturing process, as well as extra handling measures during the packaging and dispatching stage. You can rest assured knowing that our team have taken great care in creating your order.


Oh no! Before we send our signs, the utmost checks are done to make sure your sign(s) are perfect and how we'd expect you to receive them. But if your sign does arrive damaged, just send us an email with a picture of the damage to and we will send a replacement out to you.


Due to the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, we do allow customers to collect their orders from our workshop. However, please respect the social distancing measures in place. You can choose to collect your item when you checkout your order for free.


Your sign will last a lifetime - just don't drop it!

After your sign is crafted, we coat the face and sides of the sign in slate oil. This process not only helps protect the slate, but it brings out/darkens the slates natural beautiful patterns and textures too. Over time the slate oil will naturally wear away due to weathering, but we've always got plenty of tableau slate oil stock should you need to top up the attractive glow of your slate door sign.


It sure is! All our signs come with an easy step-by-step guide to securely install your sign. It‘s straightforward and should only take a few minutes to do.


Don’t worry, we don’t expect you to be a sign installation expert. All our orders come with a little step by step guide on how to easily secure your house sign - it only takes a few minutes. Any questions, do feel free to reach out to our team through our contact page.

Absolutely not. Our team ensures that all signs are made to last, and will finish your sign with treatment oils to protect it from the elements at all times of the year.


We do not offer refunds or replacements on orders received, however if your order is still in the workshop and has not been made, contact the team ASAP at and we can look to amend your order.


At The Bespoke Sign House, we currently offer two variants of slate; Glossy and Natural. Our Glossy slate boasts a flat, shiny, modern appearance, whilst our Natural slate is a textured, rough and more characterful option. With our expertise and quality slate, you can be sure that your sign is made to last a lifetime.

Let us know! Email us at and we can see if we can follow it up or track it with the postal service. We have to allow 21 days for all UK orders before we can declare that it has been lost in the post. For international orders, we have to allow 30 days from being dispatched until we can declare that the order is lost. Once these timescales pass and your order still has not arrived, we will refund or replace the order in full. If you have not informed us that your sign has not arrived within 25 days for UK orders and 35 days for International orders, we have no liability to replace or refund the order.
