I purchased this for my daughter to use on her slate sign not sure how it's gone as yet. Was surprised there was no label on thebottle or any instructions I guess it was obvious how to use it but just surprised nothing about it.
Hi - thank you for taking the time to leave a review! You can apply the slate oil using a microfiber cloth or soft rag. Just add a small amount and rub it evenly across the surface of the sign to restore the slate’s natural finish. We really appreciate you mentioning the lack of instructions, and we’ll look at including some simple guidance with future orders to avoid any confusion.

Excellent web site, so easy to chose a design and place an order. My house number plate arrived in about 7 days and I’m delighted, first class service and product quality.
Great quality sign but really disappointed that the screw holes are too small for the fixing provided. Have had to open them up slightly as the screws bound into the slate and had I tried to force it I was concerned the slate would crack. After paying well over £50 this attention to the detail is a shame.

I liked the look of these slate house numbers on the website because they seemed good quality and made to last. Now I have received the product and placed it, I am very happy - it is solid, durable and looks very good.
I am happy with the sign I received, however, the quality definitely could have been better. There were paint drops on the slate where there shouldn’t have been and the paintwork was generally a bit messy. I managed to scrape off the excess paint and make it look ok as it was a present for my husband, but I would have expected it to be cleaned up before posting. The slate itself is nice and chunky and feels high quality so overall I am happy.

The sign arrived on time, but I was disappointed with its overall look and finish. The slate has big, ugly patches all over it that look like stains or grease marks. I contacted the company to ask for a refund since I cannot use the sign due to its poor appearance. I received a reply a few days later saying that my sign matched the website preview that I approved when I ordered and that because the slate is natural, this marking is typical. Comparing the website preview and the sign delivered, there is a vast disparity in appearance, and the response is extremely disappointing. I shall return the natural slate to the ground. Just be aware that what you see and approve on the preview may not be what arrives.
