We've been in the sign business long enough to get an idea of some questions our customers would like answered. That's why we've put together this frequently asked questions page, to answer your questions as and when you need to.
General House Sign Questions
How do I track my order?
You can use our Order Tracker to see the status of your order in our workshop, as well as an expected delivery date.
Simply sign into the claim tracker with your email address and reference number (Starting with 'S') and you can stay up-to-date from there!
What's included with my order?
In each order, you will receive each personalised house sign you order, as well as the fixing accessories you choose when making your sign.
How much is delivery to the UK?
We offer FREE tracked postage if you choose Royal Mail Tracked 48 at checkout. We also offer a few Royal Mail delivery upgrades at checkout to as well as an express service option.
If you're located outside the UK, you can see your shipping options at checkout.

Do you make What3Words signs?

Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship our signs to any country in the world. You can see your country's shipping cost at checkout.
Please be aware that customers are responsible for any customs duties.
How durable are slate signs?
Each sign we make is made using high-quality slate stone and paint. Come rain or shine, your sign will last a lifetime - just don't drop it!
Does exposure to rain or the sun damage my sign?
Absolutely not. We use hard wearing natural resources such slate and granite, which our team ensures are made to last, by further treating your sign with specialist oils to protect it from the elements all year around.

Post-Purchase Questions
How do I track my order?
All our signs are shipped using tracked Royal Mail services (either Royal Mail Tracked 48, Tracked 24 or Special Delivery).
Once we've made your sign, we'll send you a shipment email with a tracking number and link.
Can't find a dispatch email? Sometimes our emails may end up in your spam folder. If you still can't find it, feel free to email us for an update at hello@thebespokesignhouse.com.
Why are there line imprints on my sign?
Don't fret! It's just where the cardboard packaging your sign came in has left an imprint on the oil used to cover and protect your slate sign. All you need to do is use a cloth and lightly wipe away the marks.
My sign has arrived damaged
Oh no! Before we send our signs, the utmost checks are done to make sure sign(s) are perfect and how we'd expect you to receive them. But if your sign does arrive damaged, just send us an email with a picture of the damage to hello@thebespokesignhouse.com and we will send a replacement out to you.
How do I install my sign?
Installing your sign is a breeze. All you'll need is a drill, screwdriver, pen and the fixings we supplied in your parcel. We offer five fixing types, these are:

How long will my sign last outside?
Our slate and granite signs are 100% weatherproof, require little maintenance and will last a lifetime. Just don't drop it!
