Designed for properties that need a larger, more visible entrance sign, our Slate House Sign with Posts combines premium natural slate with handcrafted timber supports for a timeless countryside appearance. Ideal for driveways, farm entrances, cottages, barn conversions and private roads, these engraved slate signs create a strong first impression while remaining elegant and easy to read.

Each slate plaque is individually cut, hand bevelled, and deeply engraved in our Kent workshop using traditional sandblasting techniques. Unlike printed alternatives, the lettering is permanently engraved into the stone itself before being hand-painted in your chosen colour, creating crisp detail and long-lasting durability in all weather conditions.

The elongated layout provides excellent readability from a distance, making this style particularly well-suited to entranceways and roadside positioning where clarity matters.

Optional Handmade Oak or Painted Timber Posts

This design can be paired with a selection of handcrafted timber posts to create a complete freestanding sign solution.

Our rustic oak posts are handmade with a traditional pyramid-top finish and are available in both 2ft and 3ft heights. Pressure-treated for outdoor durability, they offer a natural character that works beautifully with rural, heritage and countryside properties.

For a cleaner and more contemporary appearance, we also offer 3ft painted redwood posts finished in white. These provide a crisp contrast against the dark natural slate and suit modern homes, gated entrances and landscaped driveways.

All post options include the required fixings for installation.

Crafted in Our Kent Workshop

Every sign is made entirely in-house by our small team using traditional stoneworking methods and carefully selected materials. We focus heavily on typography, spacing and overall balance to ensure every sign remains visually clean, professional and easy to read.

The combination of deeply engraved natural slate and handcrafted timber creates a durable entrance sign built to withstand the British climate for years to come.

All orders are packaged by hand using recyclable paper-based packaging wherever possible, helping reduce unnecessary plastic while ensuring your sign arrives safely.
