We've been in the sign business long enough to get an idea of some questions our customers would like answered. That's why we've put together this frequently asked questions page, to answer your questions as and when you need to.

General Questions

How long until I get my order?

As of September 2022, our current production times are:

• 1-2 working days for Etched signs

• 3-4 working days for Deep Engraved & Painted signs.

If you need your sign ASAP, we offer an express service at checkout for £19.99.

What's included in my purchase?

In each order, you will receive your personalised house sign, as well as the fixing accessories you choose when making your sign.

How much is shipping?

We offer FREE standard postage if you choose Royal Mail 2nd Class at checkout. We also offer a few Royal Mail delivery upgrades at checkout too as well as an express service option.

If you're located outside the UK, you can see your shipping options at checkout.

Do you ship outside the UK?

Yes, we ship our signs to any country in the world. You can see your country's shipping cost at checkout.

Please be aware that customers are responsible for any customs duties.

Do you make what3words signs?

We certainly do, and we're proud to be featured on the official what3words shop too! what3words is a great way to share a specific location to anyone, from remembering a special location, to helping customers find your business, we've made plenty of what3words address signs. How durable are your slate signs?

Each sign we make is made using high-quality slate stone and paint. Come rain or shine, your sign will last a lifetime - just don't drop it!

Does exposure to rain or the sun damage my sign?

Absolutely not. We use hard wearing natural resources such slate and granite, which our team ensures are made to last, by further treating your sign with specialist oils to protect it from the elements all year around.

Post-Purchase Questions

My sign has line marks on it, why is that?

Don't fret! It's just where the cardboard packaging your sign came in has left an imprint on the oil used to cover and protect your slate sign. All you need to do is use a cloth and lightly wipe away the marks.

My sign arrived broken!

Oh no! Before we send our signs, the utmost checks are done to make sure sign(s) are perfect and how we'd expect you to receive them. But if your sign does arrive damaged, just send us an email with a picture of the damage to hello@thebespokesignhouse.com and we will send a replacement out to you.

How do I install my sign?

All our house signs are easy to fit, so you'll have yours up in minutes. Here you can view our quick guide on how to install your house sign.

How long will my sign last?

Our slate and granite signs are 100% weatherproof, require little maintenance and will last a lifetime. Just don't drop it!

How do I track my order?

When we've made your sign and have dispatched it, we'll send you an email with a tracking link (usually with Royal Mail).

PLEASE NOTE: If you chose Royal Mail 1st or 2nd Class, your tracking code will not work until delivery/delivery attempted.

How do I leave you a review?
