What's the Difference
Between Slate, Granite and Welsh Slate?
When it comes to creating a slate house sign online, it should be an easy and enjoyable experience. But sometimes the first hurdle on your sign-making-escapade can be the biggest, particularly if you don’t know the difference between your Slate, Granite and Welsh Slate. Here’s what you need to know to pick the perfect material for your home.
Slate House Signs
10mm & 20mm Slate Available in Grey, Various Sizes and Shapes on Offer.
For a modern property, or for anyone looking for a slightly more glossy and sleek finish to their house plaque, an engraved and painted slate house sign is the ideal choice. Our slate signs have a polished and smooth surface meaning there is less texture to the face of the sign, instead displaying a crisp and clean look. Slate is perfect for modern homes, feature properties, commercial properties, restaurants and hotel signage.
Welsh Slate House Signs
Slate Available in Grey, Various Sizes and Shapes on Offer
Welsh slate, as the name suggests, originates from Wales and is an popular option for anyone looking for a sign with plenty of charm. Welsh slate signs have a chiselled-edge on all sides, giving it a rustic appearance. Welsh slate house signs are the ideal choice for older properties or cottages, but also look excellent on new-build red brick.
Granite House Signs
Granite Available in Black, Various Sizes and Shapes on Offer
Granite house signs, revered globally by homeowners for its elegance and sophistication, offers not only a stylish appearance but also stands out as a durable, natural material that withstands the test of time. We recommend choosing granite for homes with white stone or brick walls.
